As Washington looks set to unleash another wave of harsh sanctions on Nicaragua, tens of thousands gathered at Plaza of the Revolution to commemorate 42 years since the Sandinista Front for National Liberation freed the country from the grip of American-backed dictator Anastasio Somoza.
