Beijing has accused the US of creating an imaginary enemy as Washington has announced plans for greater military presence in the Indo-Pacific region to counter China. The Pentagon said it’s planning to upgrade and expand military facilities in Guam and Australia. Beijing and Washington are at odds over a host of issues.
