With the injection of Iranian made COVID Vaccine to volunteers, Coviran officially starts its human trials. According to Iranian Health Minister Saeed Namaki, seven other candidates are expected to clear animal trials by late February. COVIran Barekat, manufactured by Shifa Pharmed, is one of eight vaccine candidates discovered and developed by local experts.
