The Israeli military has attacked some positions in Syria’s south-western province of Qunaitra.
Syrian media are reporting that explosions have been heard as result of Israel’s aggression in the Qunaitra area. They say Israeli tanks fired at a border village, as choppers and surveillance aircraft flew over the area. There are no immediate words on possible casualties or damage. The Israeli army has confirmed the attack in a statement, claiming that it opened fire to chase away suspicious individuals who then fled into Syrian territory. Israel frequently launches strikes on Syria. Damascus says the attacks are flagrant violations of its sovereignty and has filed complaints with the United Nations.
