Spotlight - A Push to Silence Press TV

The European satellite operator, Eutelsat, has issued a warning to Iran’s English language news channel Press TV that it will take the broadcaster off the air. France-based organization has told Press TV that the potential move is in line with EU sanctions on Iran. Recently, the bloc imposed sanction on 29 Iranian individuals and three organizations, including Press TV, over Iran’s response to the riots in the country. Press TV has strongly condemned Eutelsat’s decision, criticizing the EU for being behind the move.
