Tens of thousands of Israelis are back on the streets for the 38th consecutive week to protest against controversial judicial curbs by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's extreme far-right cabinet.
Mass protests against the judicial overhaul have been ongoing since it was proposed back in January. Israel's Supreme Court began hearing the first in a series of appeals linked to the plan in August. It set off an unprecedented domestic crisis resulting in public unrest, labor strikes, and mutiny by some members of military. Critics say the move removes vital checks on the far-right cabinet’s powers. They say they will continue the protests until they are able to REPEAL the legislation.
