Activists have staged a pro-Palestine protest inside the Department of Business and Trades in London, calling on the British government to end arms sales to Israel.
The protesters from “London for Free Palestine” staged a sit-in in the lobby of the building. They chanted slogans such as “Stop arms sales to Israel” while waving Palestinian flags. London for Free Palestine has joined some lawmakers and pressure groups like Campaign against Arms Trade to revoke arms export licenses to Israel. Advocacy groups believe the U-K licensed weapons are being used by Israel in its genocidal war in Gaza. British officials have called the amount of UK's military exports to Israel relatively small. However figures show just last year the country exported 42 million euros worth of military equipment to Israel.
