Thousands of Israelis have once again rallied in Tel Aviv to protest against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over his failure to secure the release of captives in Gaza.
The protestors urged Netanyahu to resign and called for holding early elections. They urged the Israeli cabinet to reach a deal with resistance groups for the release of the captives. Netanyahu has been in hot water over his handling of the Gaza war. Israel has so far failed to release any of the captives by military means. It has also failed to achieve any of its stated goals of the war. Dozens of captives have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza. Israel has been the scene of anti-Netanyahu rallies for months. The premier is embroiled in a series of scandals. His charges, among others, include fraud and breach of trust in three cases filed in 2019.
