Two US military bases in Syria have come under fresh missile and drone attacks amid growing anti-American sentiment in the region.

Lebanese media reports say four missiles hit the Al-Omar Oil Field base while three missiles and a drone targeted the Kharab al-Jir base. Both facilities are located in the northeastern Syrian province of Hasakah. No group has yet claimed responsibility. But Reuters, citing security sources, said five rockets were fired from the Iraqi town of Zummar toward northeastern Syria, without giving further details. US military facilities and bases in Syria have come under repeated attacks in recent months. Resistance groups in Iraq and elsewhere are outraged at the US military presence in the region, which they say is a source of instability, as well as Washington’s support for the Israeli regime in its ongoing genocidal war on Gaza.
