Israeli protesters call for Netanyahu resignation and captives deal

Israeli security forces have violently clashed with protesters in Tel Aviv calling for snap elections and the resignation of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Security forces cracked downed on protesters gathering outside the headquarters of the Israeli Occupation Forces in central Tel Aviv. Protests were also held in more than 50 settlements across occupied Palestine. Israeli protestors argue that Netanyahu has failed to secure the release of the captives held in Gaza. They demand that the Israeli cabinet strike a deal with the Hamas resistance movement to return the captives. Israeli officials say 129 captives remain in the Gaza Strip. Dozens of captives have also been killed in the regime’s airstrikes on Gaza. Hamas says it wants a complete ceasefire and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza as part of a ceasefire deal to release the captives.
