Anti-Israel protests are gaining momentum on US campuses, as more and more university students are standing in solidarity with Palestinians.

The students camped out for the second day on the George Washington University campus, despite threats that they could face temporary suspension. The students at Arizona State University also joined the wave of U-S campus protests against the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza. In the state of Illinois, hundreds of protesters marched on the University of Chicago campus. They echoed pro-Palestinian chants that have been reverberating through multiple American universities over the past days. Around 100 people were arrested at a university in Boston. Encampments in support of Palestine also continued at New York’s Columbia University. The education center has been an epicenter of anti-Israel protests since April 18th. In over a week, hundreds of protesters have been arrested at colleges across the U-S. The protesting students demand university authorities divest from companies involved in Israel’s military.
