On May 19th, a tragic helicopter accident took the life of Iran’s president Ebrahim Raisi. This incident shocked the Iranian nation, but despite that and according to the country’s constitution, snap elections must be held in 50 days from the time the president leaves or dies in office. The 14th round of presidential elections in the Islamic Republic will take place on June 28th. There are six candidates running for president in this snap election.
