The South Korean President hosts the Japanese Prime Minister for a summit in Seoul to bolster ties for the future. The visit, however, has drawn strong criticism for many reasons. Some activists, who gathered outside the Presidential compound on Friday, believe that with strengthening of the alliance with Tokyo and Washington, Seoul is only being used to confront North Korea and China.
