Since the onset of the Israeli war on Gaza in October last year, restricted protests held across India in support of the Palestinians, however with different responses from the authorities. People have faced detention during rallies organized by Palestine solidarity groups, including groups, activists and ordinary citizens. As Munawar Zaman reports, Palestine solidarity campaigns have faced a brutal repression while Israel-related events had a free hand in India.
