Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman has called for action in defense of Palestinian women and girls as the world marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
Esmail Baghaei issued the call in a post on his X social media account. He said the International occasion is a reminder of extreme Israeli violence Palestinian women and girls have been facing for decades. Baghaei described as unprecedented the violence waged against female Palestinians in Gaza where tens of thousands of women and girls have been brutally killed and maimed. He added that starvation and repeated forced displacement are other miseries mothers and girls have been grappling with in Gaza since October last year.
