Iran’s highest-ranking military commander says the developments in the Gaza Strip over the last 15 months were the beginning of a disaster for the Zionists and the elevation of Islam and the Resistance Front.
Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Baqeri made the remarks in a meeting with the staff of Iran’s embassy in Islamabad on Monday.
Leading a high-ranking military delegation, Baqeri arrived in the Pakistani capital on Sunday at the invitation of the country’s army chief, General Asim Munir.
Baqeri said the ceasefire agreement reached between Israel and the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas exposed the flimsy power of the occupying regime and the global arrogance in the face of the resistance fighters.
“Today is the day that a ceasefire has been imposed on the Zionist regime. American and European officials have admitted to some regional leaders that without their help, the Zionist regime will certainly collapse,” he added.
He emphasized that 15 months of developments in the Gaza Strip were a major turning point in the region, the Muslim world and the resistance front.
