In the US, Firefighters continue to battle at least nine active wildfires in Southern California, where red flag warnings have been extended.
A significant wildfire is spreading through the Otay Mountain Wilderness near the U.S.-Mexico border, burning over 5,000 acres. The area has been facing constant challenges in controlling the blazes. As a precaution, mandatory evacuations and alerts have been issued for residents in the vicinity. President Donald Trump, is scheduled to visit fire-ravaged Los Angeles to meet with homeowners. Also, Trump will tour impacted areas to survey the damage marking his first presidential trip since assuming office. In recent weeks, wildfires have wreaked havoc across the state, burning more than 37,000 acres and resulting in the loss of at least 28 lives.
