A United Nations special rapporteur says a top Saudi official has issued a death threat against her for investigating the murder of dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
She published a 100-page report in June 2019, concluding that there was credible evidence the Saudi crown prince and other officials were liable for the killing.
Khashoggi was killed and dismembered inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul in October 2018.
