The US withdrawal from the nuclear agreement (JCPOA) during Trump years and its extensive sanctions against Iran, in addition to Russias geopolitical difficulties with the West, have led these two countries to expand their cooperation within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union. So far, the results show that aside from the economic benefits of the agreement, its political and geopolitical goals are also of high significance for both Iran and Russia.
