Today home technology has become more sophisticated to match our fast-paced lifestyles. In essence, home appliances define modern living, changing the means of dealing with food, clothing, cleaning, and so much more. Iran is self-sufficient in the production of home appliances and its brands compete with foreign names many might be familiar with.
Currently, there are some 80,000 home appliance manufacturing units in the country. Their domestic productions have not only helped satisfy local needs but also saved the country millions in imports. after the government banned foreign brands in 2018, industry production sky-rocketed. Last year $140 million worth of home appliances were exported and the government hopes to push this figure to $200 million this year.
