Television in Iran dates to 1958. But even Islamic Republic Broadcasting is over 40 years old now, as national Radio and TV was reshaped in the year of the revolution 1979.
So why establish Press TV all of a sudden, in 2005 to launch in 2007; specially when this channel operates quite differently from Irans Persian-language national or state TV?
