Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi has arrived in Syria for a two-day visit upon an official invitation by his Syrian counterpart Bashar al-Assad.
This is the first visit by an Iranian president since the foreign-backed militancy and Daesh terrorism gripped the Arab country in 2011.
The strategic trip will focus on strengthening economic and political ties between the two countries, as well as the resistance axis.
