On June 20, Albanian police entered a camp northwest of Tirana belonging to the Mujahedin-e-Khalq terrorist organization (MKO), due to its engagement in “terror and cyber attacks” against foreign institutions. The raid on the Ashraf-3 camp led to a deep distrust between the MKO and Albanian authorities, resulting in restrictions on the group’s activities. The costly camp which was intended for political influence, has proven to be ineffective and is likely to become a symbol of failed Western policies towards Iran.
