Thousands of demonstrators have gathered in Paris to protest against systemic racism and police brutality.
The protest was also held in other cities across France. In Paris, demonstrators called for an end to what they described as the state violence. The protest also saw some clashes between demonstrators and police forces in what French Interior Minister called unacceptable violence. The nationwide protest came almost three months after the point-blank killing of a youth by a policeman that sparked over a week of violent protests in Paris and elsewhere.
