Since the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979, Iran has made phenomenal progress in the space industry.
Iran's first successful launch of an artificial object into orbit took place in August 2008. Just recently, Iran sent more satellites into space with much more advanced carriers. It is now planning more satellite launches in the near future.
