The UN Palestinian relief agency, UNRWA, describes the living condition in Gaza as unbearable and extremely dire.
A spokeswoman for the agency said the situation is “the worst it’s ever been” after visiting parts of the territory. Louise Wateridge expressed shock at the level of devastation in the southern city of Khan Younis, saying everything there is rubble. She said people in Gaza are forced to live in bombed-out buildings or camp next to giant piles of trash without food and water. She also warned that the rising temperature in the territory is adding misery to the living conditions.
