Iran held a presidential runoff election on Friday to choose the successor of President Ebrahim Raeisi who passed away in a helicopter crash in May.
People across the country participated in the election. The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, also cast his ballot in the early minutes after polls opened.
