The Indian Prime Minister has emphasized New Delhi’s determination to boost strategic partnership with Russia.

Narendra Modi made the remark in an official meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Kremlin. Modi said the bilateral cooperation between India and Russia aimed to expand strategic alliance for a common future. Putin, for his part hailed the successful implementation of Russian-Indian projects in various fields, including trade, nuclear and hydrocarbon energy, and high technology and space. The Indian premier’s visit to Moscow has sparked condemnation from the western countries, mainly India’s allies in Europe and North America. This is Narendra Modi’s first visit to Moscow since he began his third term in office.
