The funeral of Hamas' political chief Ismail Haniyeh commenced with Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei leading the funeral prayers. Iranian and Hamas political figures along with mourners came together in the Iranian capital Tehran to take part in the ceremony. Politicians and citizens alike called for justice, asserting that the Israeli assassination would not go unanswered.
