A spokesman for Atomic Energy Organization of Iran says Tehran will significantly increase its nuclear enrichment capacity, in response to a resolution adopted by the UN’s nuclear watchdog.
Behrouz Kamalvandi said Tehran plans to install new advanced centrifuges for that purpose. He added the development and consolidation of the country's nuclear infrastructure is also on the agenda. Kamalvandi stressed that Iran’s nuclear industry will not be affected by western pressure, and such hostile measures will only prompt the country to increase its capacity across various areas of the industry. The anti-Iran resolution by the International Atomic Energy Agency’s Board of Governors was adopted on Thursday. Tehran has strongly condemned the move as politically motivated, saying it will destroy the positive atmosphere that governs Iran's relations with the IAEA.
