Arrest warrant for Israeli war criminals

Since the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former minister of military affairs Yoav Gallant on Thursday, world leaders have shown reactions, most of them respecting the ruling. Tel Aviv’s staunchest ally, Washington, has labeled the verdict as outrageous, while the EU considers that to be binding. 

Now, there are conflicts in voices inside Europe, though, as some analysts call it, a dilemma between international law and foreign policy. 

This episode of Spotlight discusses different aspects of the ICC verdict in interviews with Mazin Qumsiyeh, a Palestinian scientist and author from Belfast, and Mick Napier, co-founder of Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign out of Glasgow.
