The United Nations Children’s Fund, UNICEF, calls for global action to stop the bloodshed of Gaza’s children amid the ongoing Israeli genocide there.
In a statement, UNICEF Executive Director, Catherine Russell, called on the world to protect the children of Gaza from violence and deprivation, expressing concern over the world’s indifference to the suffering of Gaza's children. Russel said over one hundred-sixty children have been killed in Gaza in the past month. That’s FOUR children PER DAY since November. She noted that Children in Gaza are facing shortages of food, clean water, medicine, and winter clothing, while preventable diseases like rashes and respiratory infections spread rapidly. She emphasized that Gaza’s children are paying the highest price with their lives and futures in the Israeli genocidal war.
