Tehran has rejected a leaked report by the International Atomic Energy Agency on its nuclear activities, saying the IAEA has turned into a tool of pressure against Iran.
Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi says the report by the agency’s director general is political and points to no deviation in Iran’s nuclear activities. He says the report only exaggerates certain issues to raise fabricated concerns. Gharibabadi says the IAEA chief has no right or duty to pose legitimate activities of member countries as a source of concern. Gharibabadi says the agency and the European countries are abusing Iran’s principled policy of patience. He warned of consequences if such moves persist. Earlier, Iran’s foreign minister also warned Tehran will give a proper response to any hostile move in the upcoming meeting of the I-A-E-A’s board of governors.
