According to the Palestine Economic Policy Research Institute, Israeli checkpoints across the occupied West Bank cost Palestinians an estimated 191,000 work hours every day, adding up to more than 279 million dollars in lost productivity every year, alongside 6 million dollars in extra fuel costs. With more than a thousand roadblocks, gates, and fixed checkpoints, daily life for workers, students, and patients has become a cycle of waiting, unpredictability, and danger.
