Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has condemned the ‘cruelty of sanctions’ imposed by Western powers on his country, and has called on the European Union, the United Kingdom, and the United States to follow the recommendations issued by a top UN human rights expert following her recent visit to Venezuela.
