The spokesman for Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee says Tehran cannot verify the removal of US sanctions in one or two weeks.
In an exclusive interview with Press TV, Abolfazl Amouei said a study conducted by a parliamentary research center indicates that Iran will need three to six months to confirm that the sanctions are removed. Amouei said the Iranian parliament is tasked with verifying the removal of sanctions under the legislation on the country’s nuclear program ratified in December. He said the removal of US sanctions should mean that Iran can freely sell oil and use its income to purchase goods required for the country.
