Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdollahian arrived in Damascus on Sunday. He sat down with Syrian president Bashar al-Assad and discussed with him steps taken by both sides to enhance bilateral cooperation with the aim of reaching a higher level of partnership in economy and trade.
In the meeting, Assad reaffirmed that the ongoing cooperation between the two countries had positive results in terms of protecting the interests of the two peoples, mainly in fighting terrorism.
