The chief of Afghanistan’s Ahmadzai tribe and the brother of former President Ashraf Ghani, has warned that millions of Afghans might be facing starvation following the Taliban's takeover of the country.
In an exclusive interview with Press TV, Hashmat Ghani called on the United States to release the Afghans’ assets so the country can start to rebuild. The Afghan politician says the Taliban need to strongly cooperate with the world to help resolve the country’s economic woes. Ghani praised Afghanistan's neighboring countries especially Iran for opening up their borders and taking in refugees at the time of the Taliban takeover.
