The 5th international and 13th national Iranian Biotechnology Congress has kicked off in the capital city of Tehran. The three-day event is the most important gathering of biotechnology specialists in Iran. The country is recognized as a pioneer in this field in the West Asia region, and is a household name in the production of pharmaceuticals, vaccines, and products used in the agricultural biotechnology sector.
