Israeli airstrikes have claimed the lives of two people and left seven others wounded in southern Lebanon, escalating tensions in the region.
The latest attacks occurred a day after Israel threatened to ramp up military operations against Hezbollah. Another strike hit the town of Doueir in Nabatieh province, killing one person and injuring seven others. The attack involved three missiles targeting a car that also damaged a nearby shopping complex. Another deadly raid hit the town of Aita al-Shaab, 2 kilometers from the border where one person was killed in a drone attack against a motorcycle. The IOF has warned of further strikes to pressure the Lebanese government to disarm Hezbollah. Israel has breached the truce in Lebanon some 5,000 times killing some 4,000 people and wounding around 17,000 others.
