An Egypt-brokered truce, which came into effect on May 21st, put an end to eleven days of deadly Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip. People in the besieged Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank hailed the truce as a victory for Palestinian resistance groups in the face of Israel’s attacks. Now, with the ceasefire in place, thousands of displaced Palestinians are returning to their homes. However, what awaits them is nothing but the destruction caused by the Israeli regime.
