In a blatant violation of the Gaza ceasefire deal, Israel has suspended until further notice the release of hundreds of Palestinian abductees in return for Israeli captives freed by Hamas.
The office of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said the regime has decided to suspend the release of Palestinian abductees until Hamas stops what it called provocative activities during captives’ release. The office also claimed that Hamas deliberately insults Israeli captives and exploits them to promote its political agenda. The new development came after the regime delayed the release of six-hundred-20 Palestinian abductees for hours. Earlier, Hamas called the delay a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement and an attempt by Netanyahu to undermine the deal. Hamas released six Israeli captives on Saturday in an emotional ceremony that saw one of the captives kissing the forehead of Hamas fighters. The Saturday release marked the final stage of the first phase of the deal, which entered into force in January.
