It ‘s called Greater Israel, a notion that has been prevalent amongst Israeli officials, past and present. Although many call it a fantasy, that is not the case of the minister of finance BAzalil Smotrich, who believes slowly but surely, Israel’s borders on Occupied Palestinian land will extend all the way to Damascus Syria, eventually to encompass all Palestinian territories as well as Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia. In this edition of the Spotlight, we will look at whether Israel’s notion of Greater Israel is just a fanatasy, or it really has the intention of stealing land through military aggression, backed by the US. We will also look at the regional landscape, especially with the looming Israeli attack on Iran.
