The Israeli military is preparing to deploy remotely-controlled automated weapon systems in the occupied West Bank against Palestinians.
The weaponry with lethal firing mechanism will be placed on surveillance towers. According to reports, the automated weapons, designed to target and shoot at individuals, are planned to be used for the first time in the West Bank. The reports also say that the system is aimed at preventing armed attacks and infiltrations into Israeli settlements.
